I have read that a woman’s body changes every 10 years - her hair, her energy level, her hormones, and her weight. No matter what decade you are in, it is probably much different than 10 years ago. 


At 44, I feel the aches already. My hormones are on a ride of their own and my hair is graying and getting harder to style. Since I started following the
5T Wellness Plan by Dr. Sears I have managed a healthy weight and can sustain my energy. I would love to share with you the tips that are helping me to feel toned and keep up my energy all day.


On September 28, 2022, is National Women’s Health and Fitness day. This day of awareness is a great time to pause and check-in on your health goals.

  • Reduce pain
  • Sleep better


I know as moms, we often are focused on taking care of everyone else. It is hard to set aside time to focus on our own well-being. When I put together my GLOW model to find your tranquility, I added W for Wellness Choices. Each day we are making simple choices that can go towards feeling strong or weaker. It is a choice. Some days we are stressed and cave into the urges to go for junk food or not go for a walk. The next day is a fresh start. New choices are available to you. Each of these moments will lead to a happier and healthier you!

With daily choices that take less than 10 minutes, you can find your tranquility!


Here are 5 ways you can achieve better health in 10 minutes or less per day.


#1 - DRINK MORE WATER

  • Dehydration causes you to feel low energy
  • Women need 11.5 cups of water per day
  • On hot or humid days, increase your water intake
  • Here's a cute water bottle that helps you remember to take a drink by the hour of the day!

#2 - VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS

  • Take a women's multivitamin with breakfast
  • Women need many vitamins to stay focused and have energy, including vitamin B, vitamin D and iron
  • Take supplements to add in nutrients you don't get enough of from your foods, such as Omega-3 fish oil - our family takes Juice Plus

#3 - SET A BEDTIME


  • Even though you feel like you have lots to do at night, set a bedtime
  • When you keep a consistent bedtime, you won't wake up with "jet lag" fatigue
  • Quiet, dark and cozy will help you to fall asleep
  • Listen to the Atmosphere app for calming music

#4 - MOVE MORE

  • You may put off a full workout, however it is important to move more often
  • Stretching and Yoga will get your blood flowing - Yoga with Adriene is my fav on YouTube!
  • Jumping Jacks will get your anxious body to release the tension
  • Dance parties in the kitchen are the best! 

#5 - MEET-UP WITH YOUR HEALTHY FRIENDS

  • Set-up a lunch with your besties and each bring a healthy dish
  • Go for a walk in the morning with your neighbor
  • Exchange healthy recipes with your cousins for the holiday parties - I love Clean Desserts by Laura Fuentes

You can decide which area you want to improve first. Take just minutes per day to plan for your wellness and take action!
